Sustainable Housing Solutions (SHS), which is driving one of the most ambitious global affordable-housing developments ever seen, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Mow as Chief Financial Officer, based at the Dubai office.

Prior to joining SHS he was with SNC-Lavalin International, a leading Canadian engineering and construction group.  There he was a Senior Director and finance lead in the EMEA Oil and Gas division.  He was also on the board of directors for several joint ventures within the organisation.

Mr. Mow’s career in finance started at KPMG where he spent eight years as a chartered accountant specialising in audit, first in Fiji and then Sydney.  Subsequently he spent over nine years with CIMIC Group (formerly Leighton Group) in a variety of senior positions.  Indeed at the CIMIC Group and SNC he has had responsibilities and experience around the world, from Mongolia to Mozambique, Saudi Arabia to South Africa.  Bringing such diverse international experience is key to Joseph Mow’s new role at SHS, given the global reach of the projects currently in planning.  Recently SHS and UNOPS agreed with the Government of Pakistan to deliver 500,000 new houses, joining projects in countries such as Kenya, Ghana and India.

Commenting on the new appointment, CEO of SHS Noel Lyons said: “After an exhaustive recruitment process, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Mow as our CFO. The combination of his qualifications, extensive international experience and his approach and alignment with the company’s corporate philosophy makes Joseph the ideal candidate and we very much look forward to working with him as we strive forward with SHS and its ambitious project pipeline.”

The appointment of Joseph Mow further strengthens the SHS senior management team, proving its commitment to provide best-in-class projects delivered by experience, innovation and know-how.
